It was growing dark, and the tri-colored dog was getting scared. Shivering, she pressed on, aware that there was watching yellow orbs everywhere she turned. Tail tucked, she followed forward, her paws scrambling over the wet earth. As she ran more, she saw a silhouetted figure in the distance, watching her with yellow eyes.

Anything Else You Wanna Say?...
Sample Introduction;:Twilight sparkled down on a small, tri-colored border collie as she padded through town, searching for a human to take her in. As she passed a small boy, about two in human years, she saw his mother. She wagged her white dipped tail feebly. She looked cross-eyed at the two. They looked so great, so grand. She wanted to live with them! As she prodded onward, her white claws clinked on the smooth, concrete ground. The boy people yowled, "A puppy, a puppy, mama, and it's not wearing a color! Can we keep it?" Tail wagging, Bandera barked, "Yeah, I won't hurt you!" But they just didn't understand Dog. The mother, the pup noticed, looked disgusted. She crinkled her pale nose, then growled, "No, Jake, we can't. He can hurt you."
Now it was Bandera's turn to be disgusted. Why would she hurt a harmless boy people? She was only a moon old, barely old enough to not have milk from her mother! She watched as the two crossed a dead-looking road. Right when they were in the middle of it, she looked both ways before she padded along beside them. She crossed the street, looked back behind her. Then, she padded after the clumsy looking boy. As she padded up to lick his small palm, the mother people swatted her softly with her hand- but hard enough to make her tumble and land on her rump. Bandera shook the dust out of her fur, just in time to dodge another swift blow of the hand. "No, bad puppy."
Then the sweet, motherly voice went away, along with the unstable paw-steps of the boy people. Bandera, feeling to melancholy to get up off her feet, padded away sadly, tail down. All she wanted was a family to love her. Why did I have to be borne in the wilderness? When will I have a real mother?
