Q: How do I put an Avatar on my profile?
A: An Avatar (the picture that appears alongside every post you make, and above your personal text) can be added by clicking the Profile Button below the main banner of every page, this will direct you to your profile, along the top of this click on the link that says Modify Profile. Paste the URL of your desired image into the Avatar URL box, and beneath that, enter in your desired dimensions (max of 100pixels. if your image is square, you should put 100 in each box.)
Q: I know what image I want, but I don't know how to get its URL.
A: a URL is basically an address, for a website, or an image. Right clicking on the image, and clicking Properties will show you the image's URL. Or if you have used google image search, and have clicked on the image so only the image shows in your browser, then the address shown in your browser will be the image's URL. This is what you paste into Avatar URL on your Modify Profile page.
Q: How do I add a signature banner to my profile?
A: Go to your Modify Profile page, and find the box for your Signature. In there, paste your URL inbetween;;
And you might want it centered;;
Please do not have a banner that is too big, it should not be so wide as to stretch the forum page, and not so large a height as to take ages to scroll across
Q: How do I make a signature banner?
A: You can use any sort of software that you have available. Paint, PhotoShop, PaintShop Pro, Coral etc etc. Please do not make the banner so wide as to stretch our forum 500px length max.
Q: I don't have the software to make a banner for myself, can I still get one?
A: Yes. Some people on this forum are nice enough to make signature banners for others. There is a Shops board on this site where you can go to request a banner/avatar.
Q: What is Blessing/Cursing?
A: A amount of Karma is displayed below your Post Count, below your Avatar. A positive number denotes good karma, and negative, bad karma. You can Bless (raise) another person's karma, or Curse (lessen) their karma.
Q: How many post points to I have to get to reach the next rank?
A: We have 5 ranks here:

Q: How do I join a pack?
A: All pack's have application forms which you must fill out in order to join. Once you've been accepted, you can go on to create an RP thread in the pack board of your choice, and RP your character going up to the pack borders, and calling for attention. (Usually howling Tratto's Blessing in accordance with the book) Then the Dragga/Drappa of that pack will appear and either accept or deny you entry.
Q: Once I've joined a pack, can I change my mind and join another one?
A: Yes, but you would still need to RP getting your new Dragga/Drappa permission.
Q: Can I have another character?
A: Double accounts are allowed here on Twists, . usually when they have the hang of RPing and want a different, more complex character. Although if you want to have two accounts and you've just joined, feel free to do that also.
Q: Can I kill off my character?
A: Yes. This is where we allow for godmoding if your character dies fighting someone else's character. (Godmoding is only ever allowed with permission from the other character, and permission must be stated in an OOC note at the beginning or end of the post) But some of our members do get tired of their characters, and want to start anew, so they choose to kill off their character.
Q: Can my character have the Sight?
A: It depends. You'll have to PM myself or my staff to discuss this, as we like to keep it to the book here, and not that many wolves have the Sight. Also, we an tell you no for a number of vairous reasons;; how long you've been a member of the site, your active-ness and how often you post, and depending on how many characters we actually have with the Sight.
Q: Can my character have pups?
A: Yes, weather you play an dog or a wolf, but only with permission. You can adopt another member if you both want to, with permission from your Dragga/Drappa, or if your character is a kerl, from one of the admin team. Some members create another account to RP someone's pup, if the other character RPs being pregnant. This is all prearranged. Normally over PM.
Q: Do I need to have read the book to join?
A: No, we welcome all members to this forum, regardless of whether or not you have read the book.
Q: I've seen the letter 'P' in a thread title, what does this mean?
A: 'P' or the word 'Private' in a thread title means that the thread is for the person who made it, and the people who are RP-ing with them. Unless you have been invited into that thread, you should not post in it.
