Dog Form.
Back To Basics...
Name;:Geoffrey Gender;: Male
Age;:Just over two.
Breed;:Newfoundland x Caucasian Sheepdog
Pack Member or Loner?;:For now- loner. He needs a pack, though; he needs friends to be happy.
It's All In The Fur...
Pelt Colour;:Mmm, it's mainly black- although in the colder seasons (middle-end of fall, winter, beginning of spring) it's more of a “chocolate” color. There's also a very distinct cream-colored patch on his chest, and the toes of all of his paws are white.
Pelt Type;: He has a water-resistant double coat; it's natural for newfoundlands to have. The outer coat is course, and relatively long, and it has a definite wave to it, instead of just falling straight along and falling to either side of the spine. The undercoat is soft, almost like plush, and very dense. The backs of his legs are feathered from the shoulder/hip to the paws, as well as his tail.
Pawpads;: Slate gray.
Eye Colour;:A very dark brown; he usually has a very soft, bright gaze, giving them that “liquid” look.
Height;:30.6 inches at the shoulder.
Build;: While he does top out at a whopping 198 lbs., this is not all muscle- actually, it's mainly fur and his puppy chub, which he's yet to lose. He's very broad- tubby, too- and it's relatively obvious.
Physical Description;: Geoffrey is wide all over- his head is broad, with a thick, wide muzzle. The girth of his chest is well-proportioned to the rest of his body, although the majority of his bulk is just fatty tissue. He has short, flappy ears, though they are thickly furred and look far longer than they actually are. He came from a specially bred mother to be a dry mouth, so that he doesn't excessively drool. Also, being mostly a newfie- he has webbed paws, which make him an excellent swimmer.
Those Voices In Your Head...
Personality;: If Geoffrey had a specific gait, it would be “bumbling”- or, maybe “lumbering”. He still hasn't grown into his weight, and hasn't shed all of those excess pounds (as a toned adult, he'll probably weigh around 155-160 lbs.). So it's essentially a given that he's clumsy. He's very outgoing, and enthusiastic about everything, and believes that everyone is good for something. He's also a very strong believer in fate- everything happens for a reason. An optimist all the way, he's never far from coming up with a silver lining. overall, he's an incredibly happy boy, but he doesn't really know what he's doing and he often says too much. Oh, he has a natural affinity for two things: herding, and water. It's in his genes, see. His parents always told him to live his life with dignity and courage, and he took their words to heart.Live his life to the fullest and, in the end, have no regrets.
Hopes;: Make the ones around him happy; make his parents proud
Fears;: Failure
Dreams;: Reunite himself with his family
Goals:
The Past Is The Past...
History;:Oh, goodness. This might be a long one, unless I can condense it properly:Theresa
He was born to his mother, a Newfoundland, and his father, who was half Newfie and half Caucasian Sheepdog, which later proved to be a very volatile mix. He was raised a house pet, and the dogs' owners lived at the edge of a bay, so he was familiarized with water from the beginning. Even as a pup, too young to swim, he'd sit at the edge of the wharf and watch his humans fish- he always got to lick the empty sardine cans. He was quite the spoiled little guy, which is the main reason why he's still tubby at his age. His parents instilled a good sense of morals and direction in his brain from an early age, causing him to be quite the dignified and honorable dog. Because his humans treated him well, he bodes no ill will towards them, and on more than one occasion dragged their young daughter to shore when she swam out too far (much to the little girl's annoyance, because she was a fine swimmer- Geoffrey was just being cautious, though). How did he wind up here, you might ask?
Essentially, his father had an “episode” one evening- it was more of a seizure- and the daughter, Emma, got too close to his jaws. She wasn't really bitten, but his father's fangs definitely left a mark, and so the owners, fearing that these conditions might continue, shipped his father away to a farm somewhere (euphemism for “put to sleep”), which both Geoffrey, his mother, and Emma all believed, and still believe. They allowed his dam to stay, simply because she had never caused any problems and by that pint was too old to really do anything anyway. Geoffrey, however, because he had his father's Caucasian Sheepdog blood, was cast aside- sold to another family, in this country. When the boat landed, however, his expected owner didn't come pick him up. Eventually, someone did “adopt” him, but his eating habits proved to be too expensive, and so he was set free, so to speak. Which leads to where he is now- hungry and alone.
