“Are you ready to see through the glass?”
Through the thousands of years that mankind was around, there have been stories. These stories were of the unnatural, the immortals or the ones who were different from a normal man and women. Man thought of them only as myths and of legends, never imagining that they truly were real and not make believe. And sadly the human race was starting to pay the price for the foolish thoughts that were unbelievable to the simple minds of the average man or woman. But I think I should explain more fully, so you can really know the hell that has started on the surface near my home, the home which is now burnt ash…
Doctor Mordrock, a professor who was studying myths, was searching for a haven. This haven was one of the largest of its kind. The haven he was looking for was an impossible one at most, one that housed creatures of fairy tales and nightmares. Creatures like vampires and werewolves, angels and demons, and any other creature known in far told tales. The haven had been heard to be near Iceland, with tunnels underground reaching near the Rocky Mountains in the United States. As the doctor traveled to the mountains fate seemed to point him towards the haven. The haven’s door should have been unseen to the professor but this fateful day, it was seen high and large. Taking his team to the door, Mordrock set up explosives.
Next thing the immortals would know was that the door that had protected the humans for so long, now laid open to them. Mordrock had let the creatures who would kill a human for pure sport out of the depths of hell and now they wanted the human race enslaved or destroyed. The first to leave the havens were indeed the more curious demons with close following by the vampires. These two races slowly but surely started to take over. People went missing by night, brutal murders were also followed from these missing people cases. Wide spread panic started. Other countries closed America off. This meant letting nothing past the Canadian and Mexican boundaries. Off the coast, ships from numerous nations were set up to watch the waterways and other water sources such as the seas. The poor unfortunate souls stuck in America were now being over run.
Three months after the vampires and demons had mostly everything under control did the werewolves and other creatures arrive. They didn’t really care for the humans, they just wanted to end old rivalry between the groups. The werewolves went after the vampires. The angels went after the demons. And the other groups went after each other. Now that war was breaking out against everything and everyone, the humans in Portland, Maine decided to make a change. They knew they were out numbered, but hell they wanted a chance. Now as the nights fade and the sun moves overhead the humans think they might have a chance. The truth is no one really knows what is going on right now…but at the human race is in the balance of death and a possible rebirth. America is not free anymore. It is a constant battle to live and survive. The one question is…
