Physical Description;: Merlotte is very large for a sheltie. He is about 40 pounds and is 20 inches tall. Most of his weight comes from his thick muscles. He has olive-green eyes, small, round paws, an extremely bushy tail, and large, folded brown ears. Merlotte is a handsome young dog. His legs are short, so he isn't very good at running, which would make him a horrible hunter. He isn't a very good fighter either because he is so short, and his enemies will all be towering over him. His claws are white, small, and very sharp, while his teeth are beige and are dull. His fur is a whiteish-brown colour, with a few streaks of dark brown dappling his pelt. His chest, paws, belly, and undertail are white.
Those Voices In Your Head...

He is a gentleman, always cool around anyone if they are dogs. If they are part wolf, he can get nutty. Merlotte is terrified of wolves. He isn't a very brave dog, but he is intelligent. He will stand up to anyone as long as it doesn't envolve wolves. Merlotte can be shy at times, depending on who he is meeting. He's nervous when meeting or doing something new, and he knows how to handle herbs well, like a real healer in a pack. He hopes to land in the Strekte pack as their full time healer. Merlotte isn't a very good fighter. He hardly gets annoyed or angry.

The Past Is The Past...
History;: Merlotte was born into the forest, by a weeping willow tree in a place where ferns surrounded him. He was a very small puppy, and every day his brothers would make fun of his size as he was growing up. His mother and father were very kind to him, and loved him the way he was. Merlotte always wanted to stay in the forest, so he hardly went into town. When he was six moons old, his parents taught him how to hunt and defend himself. Then, when he was nine moons old, he decided to leave. By that time his whole family was depending on him to fight for them and hunt. He was growing into a powerful dog. The sheltie was already bigger than his siblings. Merlotte left them with a heavy heart, as much as he didn't want to. He stayed in the woods, where he belonged. He always felt a special longing toward the forest, as if it were calling him back when he wandering closer to the town. Merlotte always took care of the flowers and herbs, making sure they were healthy and had enough water. His den was already cramped of herbs that he would need if he was attacked or suddenly got sick, and he knew how to use them. The dog lived his life with nothing to worry about, except for one thing. The forest was full of wolves.

Anything Else You Wanna Say?...
Sample Introduction;: My territory. My pack. My home. Even though it seemed child-ish, my tail began to wag cheerfully. It had been a long time since I had seen the beautiful land that I had been born into. Yellow eyes pierced the scene that was painted in front of me. Short green grass swayed around my paws, washing over me gingerly. The sun was bright to my honey-coloured eyes, blinding me for a few moments. Looking away from the bright orange ball, I looked at the cloudless sky around it. It was dull blue with lighter spots dappling it here and there. A cool summer breeze blew at my ebony fur, making me feel better than I had been in a long time. Never before had I felt so care free, so alive. I used to be pointed in one direction- evil and being spiteful. Perhaps now it was time for a change. I snuffled the air, tasted it by opening up my jaws. A wolf scent came to be almost at once. It happened to be someone in my pack, so nobody was trespassing. I sighed. I needed a good run, to fight some wolf off that was doing wrong deeds... But how could I scare away a pack member? I smiled. It felt weird and wrong. It violated everything that I was taught. I shivered the grin off of my face and looked around once more.
I was in the graceful valley. My tail wagged once more at the thought of being home, where I didn't have to worry about anything. I tested at the air once more, and realized that the wolf wasn't just someone in my pack, but a female member. I lifted an eyebrow. Hmmmm... I pondered thoughtfully. A female? I grinned evilly, picking up my pace. A female? It's been a long time since I've met a female wolf. My eyes darted around, searching for the she-wolf. Was she close to me? Or was she walking away from me? Perhaps she saw me, and planned to attack me? Shaking my head lightly, I knew that it probably wouldn't happen. How could a female wolf even think about fighting with me, a handsome and powerful tundra wolf? Chuckling, I slowed down my run to sniff the air once more. The scent of the gal was getting nearer by the heartbeat, making my mouth burn. What would I say to her? It had been a long time since I had spoken, and my throat was hoarse. My stomach grumbled hungrily. I stopped trotting and sat down, hearing it gurgle again. I snarled at it, silencing it for a few minutes. It growled back to me, a sigh escaping past my lips. When was the last time I had eaten? I thought for a moment. Yes... It had been four days ago, when I had caught a rabbit. Fine. I'll find some food... later. After I meet this she-wolf. Maybe she and I could go hunting... If all goes well. I decided that I had to be kind to her, just because she was a female, she was in my pack, and I was famished. My stomach seemed to agree with my thoughts, because it snarled once, then stopped all together. Standing up on my paws, I quickly ran forward, not even knowing if I was following the female or not.
Shadows shifted over my head. I skidded to a stop and looked up. I saw a few small trees standing over me, their leaves protecting me from the harsh sun. I ran past their thin, old trunks, trotting with my nose to the ground. Suddenly, the she-wolf scent got extremely strong. I looked up and saw a female wolf. She was a beauty to look at, like a fallen angel. But what did I know? I was a dumb ass anyway. She was ivory with deep amber eyes. I didn't recognize her, but there were a lot of wolves that I didn't know. I didn't know if I should approach her or not. What would she do when she realized she was getting watched, though? Attack? My muscles softened at the thought of hurting a gal as beautiful as this one. Aw, don't be like that! You have to kill her! my mind scolded me. Pushing my thoughts away from me, for once I knew that they were wrong. No, how could I kill someone like this little lady? Forgetting everything, I went up to her, trying hard to look friendly. A crooked smile was smeared on my lips. Uneasily and unsteadily I barked, "Uh, hi." My deep voice, as I had suspected, was rough and scratched. I cleared my throat, embarrassed. Could she tell that I was nervous? "Sorry for appearing suddenly." I blinked a few times, twitching my blackened ears, tilting my head to one side. My grin softened and loosened up a bit. Even though the female wolf hadn't even spoken to me, I could tell that we would be good friends. "If you don't mind me asking, what is your name? Mine is Valience." My name felt sharp on my tongue, barbed like thorns. A shivered quaked through my body, and for once, I was happy that I hadn't went up and attacked the female with no questions asked. My heart pounded. How would this pretty female react?
